Pastor Summers has been the pastor of Faith Baptist Church since 2008. He was saved as a seven-year-old boy while living in Panama City, Florida, and is originally from Tennessee. He and his wife Melody have eight children and have been married for 22 years.
Melody is from Chelsea, Michigan. She was saved at the age of five at her home in Chelsea. Melody and her family, the Whitakers, planted Faith Baptist Church in Chelsea in 1996.
It is their desire that God would continue to use them as they serve the Lord in His work.
Pastor Wireman has been the assistant pastor of Faith Baptist Church since 2020. He was saved at the age of 13 at a Christian camp called The Wilds. Pastor Wireman attended WalkRight Baptist Bible Institute in Houghton Lake, MI, where he graduated with a degree in Biblical Studies. He and his wife Abigail have four children and have been married for 11 years. Pastor Wireman and Abigail are both local to the Chelsea area.
Abigail was saved at the age of 14 at Loomis Park Baptist Church under the preaching of Tom Farrell. She attended Crown College for one year after completing high school.
In 2017, Matthew and Sharon felt led by the Holy Spirit to join Faith Baptist Church. Matthew and Sharon have both graduated from Bible College and have worked for more than two decades in youth ministry. Matthew has a bachelor’s degree in music and has served as a music director for more than ten years. Sharon has taught in a Christian school for over ten years.
Matthew and Sharon are dedicated to the ministries God has given them serve at Faith Baptist Church, and it is their desire to fulfill God’s plan for their lives.
